Little Bee is unlike any novel I have read before.  I'm still at the beginning of the book.  It's a story about a refugee women from Africa and women who's life is changed by Little Bee some how.  I will have to keep on reading to see how this all works out.  It has made me think about a refugee's life and the fear they must face when they are forced to leave their homes to escape unexplained terror.  Little Bee ends up in England in a detention center for immigrants.  She is very resourceful and learns the best she can to speak the language of England so she can communicate when she is out.  So far I have not been able to understand how Little Bee and Sarah's lives collide.  But her husband Andrew commits suicide after he gets a phone call from Bee.  It's a sad book so far, but makes you think about all the obstacles a refugee would have to over come having to be in a different country.

Half Broke Horses is a story of a woman with real grit.  I'm about half way through the book and I have enjoyed the story.  It's inspiring.  The book has made me want to stop complaining, find enjoyment in life even during difficult times, and become a problem solver.  This woman did not complain about anything she had to endure.  She lived life on life's terms and made things happen.   So far it's been amazing to read about the life of this women.  She lived authentically with not excuses.  Even though she does not talk much about being in faith with God, she lives her life in a way that is honorable.  Hope your reading!?  If you are I would like to know what your thinking.
